There was a new tax that started on April 1, 2021, it is now officially a MANDATORY tourist tax for all foreign visitors over 15 years.
This tax is $224 Mexican pesos (about $12 USD) and can be paid at any time during your visit, either before arrival, during your stay, or upon exit.

Fill out the form with your departure date, group size, full names, birthdates, and passport numbers.
After submission, you'll be redirected to a secure payment page where you can complete the transaction via credit card.Upon completion, you'll receive a QR code to present to airport security before your departure flight.
Those who prefer, cash payments this can be made at new electronic terminals being set up at Cancun Airport.
